Discover More About Central Florida Campgrounds

If you are looking for a memorable holiday experience, Central Florida Campgrounds have a lot to offer. You can have a luxury experience with all the comforts of home, or select a more basic option that can be a very different experience. Many of the parks are in and around the Lake District area with open country, lakes, hills and forests, but still close to the major amusements parks in Orlando.

One of the parks that provide a close to nature experience is the Wekiwa Springs State Park. Alternatively, you can choose the experience and sample the uncomplicated life-style of the Timucuan Indians.

Wekiwa Springs State Park offers nature lovers the opportunity to swim in the river, try your hand with a kayak or canoe and then perhaps find a relaxing spot to picnic and soak up the sun. If you prefer a more actively way to spend your time, there are plenty of opportunities to hike and explore the trails, or participate in biking and horse riding excursions.

Lake Louisa State Park also provides holidaymakers with the opportunity to experience historical Indian living. Those who prefer a bit more comfort can pitch their tent, park up their RV or rent one of the furnished cabins. Situated in amongst hills, forest and lakes, the State Park offers visitors the chance to hike, go horse riding, fish in the lakes and observe the local wildlife up close.

Tents, recreational vehicles are welcome at Lake Kissimmee State Park and can opt for a busy or secluded camping area. Orlando and its many amusement parks are within easy travelling distance of Lake Kissimmee. To entertain visitors at weekends the staff dress as cowboys and act out scenes from the history books on the area and the Indian cultures that occupied the area.

Cypress campground is a short distance from the Cypress Adventure and the Water Mania theme parks. The facilities available for campers include a library, heated pool, miniature golf and much more. They provide a daily entertainment program with events for adults and children. For visitors who want some of the comforts of home they can wireless internet access and cable television.

Visits to Disney World and other theme parks can easily be arranged for those staying in the Tropical Palms Resort and Campground. In addition to space for tents and camper vans, this site has several cottages used as holiday lets. The site boast a heated outdoor pool, a separate childrens pool, playgrounds and picnic areas. The more energetic visitors can sign up for fishing, hiking tours and bike rides as well as other outdoor activities.

Each one of Central Florida Campgrounds offers a range of facilities and activities to help you get the most out of your vacation. The majority of the parks provide all the comforts of home with access to utilities, laundry facilities, shops, restaurants, entertainment complexes and much more. A number of campgrounds offer their visitors access to cable television and to a wireless internet connection as standard. They all offer a range of organized and supervised activities for the kids, allowing parents some time to themselves when they know the kids are being entertained and looked after.
