Unique Options For Your Maui Wedding

Surely Hawaii is one of the world's most romantic spots, and this is why thousands of couples choose to share their vows here each year. The island of Maui is a particularly romantic location for a wedding, and there are many unique venues to consider for your special day. Here are a few exciting venue ideas for you to consider if you are planning a Maui destination wedding.

With sparkling sand and crystal blue waters, a beachside Maui wedding can be a fantastic option. There are many spectacular beaches to consider, including Kapalua Bay, which is consistently ranked as one of the best beaches in the United States. Ironwoods, Napili Bay and the intimate Makena Cove are a few other options. A beachfront ceremony also can be quite affordable, especially if your wedding party is small.

Certainly a beach wedding is going to be romantic and memorable, but some brides truly long for that special and traditional wedding in a church or chapel. Maui, of course, has many options for brides and grooms who wish to exchange vows in a church, and some of the choices are even historic. For instance, Lahuiokalani Hawaiian Church was built in 1850 and is a lovely little chapel set on beautiful grounds across the street from Honokowai Beach Park. Holy Innocents Episcopal Church is another beautiful and historic church, and Catholic brides and grooms might consider Maria Lanakila Catholic Church. All of these sites are located in the West Maui village of Lahaina.

Because Maui is a popular tourist destination, there are many resorts on the island and most accommodate weddings and receptions. In addition to thinking about a Maui resort wedding, you also could opt for a special location such as the Kula Botanical Gardens or perhaps the Maui Tropical Plantation. There are private estates, such as the Ka'anapali Coffee Farm, that serve as wonderful locations for both wedding ceremonies and receptions.

Another all-in-one type of option is having your wedding and reception at a Maui restaurant. There are many excellent restaurants to consider, several of which offer ceremony grounds that overlook the sea. Some examples of great restaurant/wedding spots include Merriman's, which is located on the Kapalua Resort, and Duke's, which is on the beach and one of the most famous restaurants in Maui. The Hula Grill is yet another site to consider, and this restaurant boasts its own private beach.

While you can certainly plan the wedding yourself, unless you actually live in Maui, planning a destination wedding can be difficult, and it is smart to enlist the services of an expert. The staff at LoveMauiWeddings.com, for example, has been planning romantic Maui weddings for more than 20 years. They offer an assortment of Maui wedding packages, from ceremonies for just the two of you on a secluded beach to large estate weddings and much more. They can help with all of the details from the flowers to the photography to the transportation and everything in between.
