Life these days is so busy, everyone working hard throughout the year. Annual vacations become the highlight of our lives and for some, planning a holiday during the year is what keeps them going. Browsing on the holiday destination sites on the internet, private tours of Ethiopia capture the attention.

Two teenagers who have always been interested in history and culture will enjoy a trip like this with their parents. Putting your heads together and going through all the different options available, the itineraries on offer, you should be able to plan a family holiday that will suit everyone. Your travel agent will guide you through all the steps you need to take and go through all your ideas.

If you are interested in the churches you will be able to visit Lalibela where you will see two of the most spectacular churches. While you are there you can even take a short mule trip. The youngsters will enjoy visiting the incredible monolithic obelisks, Queen of Sheba's Bath and the church where it is said the Ark of the Covenant is housed. These places of interest may have come up in their history books at school and they will be able to identify with them and make the experience more personal.

The National Park World Heritage Site contains volcanic plugs, which were formed some 40 million years back. What an experience for anyone to see the magnificent flat top mountains, formed by these volcanoes. You may even be lucky enough to come across the endemic Galada baboons, the Walada ibis and many rare birds.

Moving on from nature to history where you can visit Gondor's imperial seat. It is where you can see the amazing Imperial Compound with all of its Fasilidas castles. One would be wise to have comfortable shoes that will withstand all the walking you are sure to do as you travel from one site to the other. Road transport is likely to consist of buses and 4 x 4 vehicles, and frequent flights to places not suited to road travel.

If you do the 16 day tour your holiday will be busy and probably quite tiring. The accommodation that is offered appears to be comfortable and will give you time to rest in between trips. You will be able to enjoy good meals at these stopovers as well.

Should you be fortunate enough to have the time for an extended holiday, then the 16 day tour may be suggested. There is very little that will be left out on a tour like this. On the first afternoon in Addis Ababa you will likely be taken on a tour of the city. The National Museum will be one of the stops where you will see the bones of the humanoid fossil "Lucy".

Giving your family the opportunity to witness these wonders of nature will make you thankful that you chose private tours of Ethiopia for the annual holiday this year. They will remember the sights they have seen and have a whole new appreciation for this country and its fascinating beauty. It may ignite a desire to take their lives in a whole new direction when they get to go to University.
