Before getting to the point of packing away your household chemicals, you have to stop and check with your moving company's policies regarding these items. If you are moving to South Carolina, you should know ahead of time what stuff you can without danger place on the moving truck, and what you can not. This needs to be known in the packing stage in order to prevent disasters on moving day.

Everything you don't know about the moving truck is that the interior of it gets extremely hot. Not only does the area get hot while the movers workers are stuffing boxes in to the truck, nevertheless it stays hot throughout the move. Once the back of the truck is closed up, the metal outside essentially turns to moving truck into an oven on wheels. There isn't any ventilation and no way for the movers to cool the inside of the truck.

For this reason, the mover can only permit you to trust them with boxes that won't react to the warmth. This means that any object you put onto the18 wheeler has to be able to withstand temperatures more than 130F. As a general rule, this means that any pressurized cans of cleaning supplies are out. This counts for whatever is pressurized, including hair spray, canned deodorant, plus some bottles of perfume. Something that has a warning on it to stay away from excessive heat cannot be packed in a box about the truck.

Besides the pressurized cans, your movers will have a whole list of chemicals and items that they won't take on the18 wheeler. Any household chemical that you have which could be hazardous is spilled must not be placed in boxes. This includes all your family members bleach, that bottle of ammonia, and the spare gasoline for your lawnmower.

Many of these chemicals are dangerous on their own. Other medication is dangerous simply because they turn into toxic if mixed with other chemicals which could be also on the truck. Be aware of these, and get a complete list from the mover, before you begin packing. If you are ever doubtful, don't pack it in the box. You might be liable for any accidents that could occur should you pack a forbidden item around the truck.

Likewise, avoid all items which often melt under heat. Including candles, wax sculptures, foods which were sealed in wax, and whatever else like that. If you have an opportunity it may melt in the heat, it will ruin on the moving truck.

You must remember that moving rates take into account the undeniable fact that you've got followed all of the rules about what can and cannot be loaded onto the truck. Any damage that's caused by a forbidden item being packed in the box is positioned on your head. The movers won't replace something that was damaged at all by one of these forbidden items.
